Pseudomonas in Healthcare

Course Objective

To provide delegates with a basic understanding of how to comply with the law, what is a suitable and sufficient pseudomonas risk assessment, what control measures can be employed, what to do in the event of unsatisfactory sample results and what is required for record keeping in accordance with the HTM 04-01 part C. This course is specifically designed for those who are responsible for the water hygiene within augmented care establishments.

Those wanting to gain a understanding and overview of Pseudomonas bacteria. What is pseudomonas aeruginosa, how is it transmitted, who is susceptible, major hazards and risks. How is it controlled and what records should be maintained.

Those wanting an overview of the legislation and associated ACOP and guidance and how to interpret this, specifically HTM 04-01 Part C.

All those who undertake water hygiene works in Healthcare augmented care areas, as well as clinical staff, cleaners, infection control specialists and those undertaking sampling and risk control measures, in addition to those who oversee the above and are involved in a Water Safety Group.
